Bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing, University of Michigan, USA. 

Professional career  

Luís Filipe Rodrigues Lélis began his professional career at Sonangol, E.P., where he served as Assistant to the  Managing Director from 1996 to 1999. He was subsequently invited to serve as Advisor to the Minister of  Finance. 

He also served as a Non-Executive Director at Mercury, Serviços de Telecomunicações, S.A.  

In 2002, he returned to Sonangol, E.P. and was appointed Head of the Budget and Internal Control Department  of the Finance Division. 

In 2004, he accepted an invitation to join BAI, S.A. as Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, a  position he held until early 2006, when he was appointed Commercial Manager and later Executive Board  Director member. 

He was elected Executive Board Director member of BAI, S.A. in May 2006 and went on to serve as Chairman of  the Board of Directors of BAI Cabo Verde. 

Mr. Lélis currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of BAI, S.A. He is also a Chairman of the Board of Directors of  BAI Europa, Member of the Board of Directors of ABANC (Angolan Bank Association), Chairman of the  Remuneration and the Selection and Evaluation Committee of the Members of the Governing Bodies of BAI Cabo  Verde S.A., Member of the Superior Council of the BAI Foundation, and Member of the Advisory Council of SAESP.
