China says it is committed to opening up the world's second-largest economy and implementing change to stimulate growth. China’s Premier Li Qiang said geopolitical tension would hold back development worldwide.
At an international business summit on the island province of Hainan, Li called for Beijing to focus on economic recovery despite strained relations with the United States and its allies.
Li said "We will introduce a series of new measures in expanding market access and optimising the business environment ... Peace is a prerequisite for development."
