Elon Musk and artificial intelligence experts are requesting a six-month pause in launching systems that are more powerful than OpenAI's GPT-4.
The group sent an open letter saying further AI development poses potential risks to society.
The letter, issued by the Future of Life Institute read "Powerful AI systems should be developed only once we are confident that their effects will be positive and their risks will be manageable."
