Nigeria Presidential Election

Nigeria's electoral commission started announcing state-by-state results of their national elections on Sunday. The announcement of a successor to President Muhammadu Buhari is not expected for several days as counting continues.

Votes in presidential elections are counted in Nigeria's 36 states before moving to the electoral commission's centre in the capital Abuja. There have already been claims of irregularities from all three of the main parties.

The results in Ekiti State for the top three candidates are- Bola Tinubu from the All Progressives Congress party (APC) 201,494, main opposition leader Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 89,554, and the Labour Party's (LP) Peter Obi, 11,397.
