Virgin Galactic to run test space flights

Space-tourism company Virgin Galactic Holdings will run a four-member test flight in May and that it aims to launch its first commercial flight in late June.

Shares rose by 4% after the company announced the test mission would be the last step in the spaceflight system and astronaut experience before starting commercial services.

The company, which is backed by Richard Branson, delayed its commercial service last year to the first quarter of 2023 due to supply-chain crisis and labor shortage.
