Asia stocks fall as COVID threat grows in China.

Asian share markets and oil prices slipped today as investors worry about the economic impact from increasing COVID-19 restrictions in China, although bonds and the dollar are benefiting from this. Asian stocks (.MIAPJ0000PUS) fell by 1.3%

Beijing has urged residents to stay at home as COVID cases are rising and lockdowns are imposed by district.

European shares also lowered today with the mining and industry sectors and industrials leading the losses as a knock-on effect of the losses in China.

The STOXX 600 index (.STOXX) was down 0.2% at 0811 GMT.
